Microsoft's Entra ID

Dcisive's support for Microsoft's Authentication

Updated over 2 months ago

Dcisive supports Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for user authentication and identity management.
This integration enables secure, seamless sign-in for users across your organisation using their existing Microsoft 365 credentials.

Administrator Consent Required

Before users in your organisation can sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, an administrator must grant permission to Dcisive.
This one-time consent allows Dcisive to:

  • Validate user profiles within your Microsoft Entra ID tenant.

  • Confirm user identities for secure access.

How to Grant Consent

Navigate to your organisation's Dcisive login page, enter your user email and select "Continue with Microsoft Entra ID".

Microsoft will prompt the admin to review requested permissions. Select “Accept” to consent on behalf of the organisation.

Once consent is granted, all authorised users within the tenant can sign in seamlessly using Microsoft Entra ID.

One-Time Passcode (OTP) Sign-In

For organisations that have not yet completed Entra ID setup, Dcisive also supports a One-Time Passcode (OTP) sign-in option.

  • This provides users with secure temporary access to Dcisive prior to Microsoft Entra ID activation.

  • The OTP remains valid until the user’s email address has successfully logged in via Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Once a user authenticates through Entra ID, the OTP method is automatically disabled for that account to maintain security and compliance.

Note

  • End users cannot complete the consent step — it must be performed by an Entra ID administrator

  • Dcisive only requests minimal permissions required to verify user identity and email address

  • The consent process is secure and handled entirely through Microsoft’s authentication system.
