Users in Salesforce must be granted appropriate permissions in order to access the Dcisive View component. Salesforce uses permission sets to provide additional access to key components outside of baseline Salesforce permissions. This article will guide you through the process of assigning the appropriate permission set to users that will access the Dcisive View.
Step 1 - Navigate to the Setup Salesforce View
A user with appropriate permissions (typically a System Administrator) will select "Setup" from the Setup Menu (select the gear icon on the top right):
Step 2 - Navigate to the DcisiveFileView Permission Set
Within the setup view, type "Users" in the quick find box:
Select the Permission Sets option:
Select the DcisiveFileView Permission Set:
Step 3 - Assign Permission Set to Users
Select the "Manage Assignments" button within the DcisiveFileView Permission Set:
Within the "Current Assignments" view select the "Add Assignment" button:
Select the Users that should be granted the permission set and click "Next":
Specify whether the permission set has an expiration date, then click "Assign":
Step 4 - Confirm Permission Set Assignment
To confirm that a permission set has been assigned, within the setup screen navigate to one of the users that has been granted access, select the user, scroll down to the "Permission Set Assignments" section within the user details and verify that the DcisiveFileView permission set has been assigned:
